Excess skin and exercise

I am trying to lose some extra pounds before trying for #2 as I never hit goal after getting pregnant 6 months out while on the Depo shot.  I have been working out at the gym, but tonight decided to go for a run. I am trying to figure out how to breathe while I run. I feel like when I am running my excess skin (mostly panni) bounces and causes me to lose some of my breath with each bounce. I know this is disgusting, but I figured you all would understand. Does anyone have any advice for keeping my stomach in one spot while I run? Is there such a thing as exercise shapewear? LOL Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem but with the excess skin on my thighs and butt! LoL I'm doing Zumba and am LOVING it but there are certain moves that I just can't do because the skin bouncing is so terribly uncomfortable and sometimes painful! I had my panniculectomy a few years back or I'd be asking the same question as you!!!!!!!!!

i would assume that just like a sports bra holds your boobs tight, either bike shorts or spanx might help.  HTH.

Thanks ladies. To PamperedDarcy, were you pleased with the panniculectomy? I have done some research about it, but most of what I have found seems to be more geared toward people who are still very overweight. Any regrets? I would not do it until after I lose a little more weight and have another baby, but I have never known anyone that had it.

i wear leggings, which are very tight and spandex like, then short gym shorts over that, then a tight tank top that goes over my belly/thigh area. it kind hold it all in...its a lot of layers and makes me sweat more, but hey atleast i dont have to hear my skin flapping in the breeze lol

I got like a back back belt thing at sports store it holds everything in place  also when I take it off I sweat and that will help lose inches.

May my Angles rest in peace.....

I do martial arts and I discovered these $6 pantyhose like leggings at walmart. They are in pink or green packages. They have capri that go to the waist. They also have capri that go above the tummy. I buy the medium and litterally separate my leg sections so the skin is separated and not sitting on top of each other. The end result-when I do my kicks in class, you hear my uniform snapping (good thing) not my leg/skin flapping. ** I have to admit before these pantyhose things was totally embarassing because people would start looking around and asking what that noise was!!!

Here's a link to the packaging...but cheaper at Walmart

I had my panni removed 2 months beofer I found I out I was pregnant...LOVED the results. I mean, I still have the love handles on the sides of my butt..but I became addicted to the binder they gave me adn wore it for a few months. I have already dug mine out for after my c-section..but today at babies r us I nboticed they sell them. They are call "post-partum belts". That might help you!!
